Dr. Henseler, Daniel

Daniel Henseler studied Slavistics and newer German literature in Fribourg, Bern and Moscow. He received his PhD in 2003 (with a thesis about Anna Achmatova) and his habilitation in 2009 (with a thesis about the “Peasant Style” in newer Polish literature).
Current occupations: lecturer for Russian at the Sprachenzentrum of the University and ETH Zurich. He also teaches Slavic literature (University of Fribourg) and intercultural communication Russia (Fachhochschule Bern, Private Hochschule Wirtschaft Zurich). Co-founder of www.ostbuero.ch.
Key activities: Russian and Polish literature and culture; Russian, Polish and Swiss poetry of the 20th century; didactics of language and literature; intercultural communication.
